Temporary Suspension of HKALL Service and Walk-in Borrowing Service Using JULAC Card from 6 June to July
You may be aware that the Library is going to migrate to a new library system in July in collaboration with the other seven UGC-funded university libraries. To facilitate the system changeover and subsequent launch, all these eight university libraries (i.e. JULAC Libraries) will need to temporarily suspend the Hong Kong Academic Library Link (HKALL) service. Walk-in borrowing using your JULAC Library Card will also be affected, as follows:
|5 June 2017 (Monday)||» Last day for requesting HKALL items
» Last day for using the JULAC Card to borrow books on-site at JULAC Libraries
|15 June 2017 (Thursday) *||» Last day for returning HKALL items
» Last day for returning books borrowed from other JULAC Libraries# on CityU-issued JULAC cards
* Books borrowed or renewed after the two dates below will have shorter loan period:
• 17 May 2017 (for Faculty members, Administrative staff and PG students)
• 1 June 2017 (for General grade staff and UG students)
# Books borrowed from the Hong Kong Baptist University Library can be returned by the stipulated due date.
To support your research and study, the Library will provide interlibrary loan services to CityU staff and students during the time when HKALL is temporarily unavailable. Thus you will still be able to borrow books from other JULAC Libraries. For enquiries, please contact the Circulation Counter at 3442-8316 or email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The HKALL service will resume in July with a new face! JULAC cardholders may need to re-register at respective host libraries after the launch of the new system. We will keep you posted on the issue.
