Criminal Procedure

Criminal procedure is a practical subject and important to criminal practitioners. In Hong Kong, the criminal procedure and practice can be found in the ordinance, regulations, judges’ rules, cases and the practice directions. Constitutional rights of individuals are reflected in the criminal procedure and observable in all criminal courts in Hong Kong, namely, the magistrates’ courts, the District Court, the Court of First Instance, the Court of Appeal and the Court of Final Appeal.
