The Grants Index, a specialized tool for searching research funding grants, is integrated within the Web of Science platform, containing over 5.2 million granted records from more than 400 funding agencies across 15 countries. It provides extensive access to information on grants and research funding from major government organizations and private foundations.

After accessing Web of Science, select "Grants Index" on the drop-down menu in the main search screen:

Next, search using the normal Web of Science methods - the default search is topic, and covering fields such as title, grant number, grant year, and more.

Following the search, you can sort or filter the results by grant years, principal investigator, funding agencies, affiliations, countries/regions, and more.

Each individual record includes metadata about the grant, such as the grant source, principal investigator, grant details, and more. Additionally, there is a link to "associated publications," which are all Web of Science papers linked to that specific grant number.

You have the option to analyze results by grant year, principal investigator, funding agencies, affiliations, countries/regions, grant status, and grant type
