Bibliometrics and Research Impact Services (文獻計量與研究影響服務)

Bibliometric and Research Impact Services aim to assist our research community in utilizing various metrics and indicators to demonstrate their academic and research impact. We provide user guides, webinars, citation reports and certificates to meet diverse needs. You can reach out to us for consultations to discuss tools and metrics, as well as best practices for your research impact measurement requirements.

Target Users include current CityUHK faculty members and research students, and academic units.

Citation Reports and Certificates

  • Requests for Citation Reports or Certificates should be submitted at least ten working days before the desired completion date. Some reports/certificates may take longer to prepare due to the high number of publications and the complexity of the task.
  • Citation databases available for checking are limited to those subscribed by the CityUHK Library. These databases have varying content coverage and publication years. The quality of the report is tied to the data quality of these databases.
  • Before completing the form, please ensure that you have the following documents ready:
    • If more than one faculty member is included in the report, please provide a list of faculty members with the following columns: 
      Name, Title, Department/Academic Unit, Scopus Author ID, Web of Science ResearcherID, ORCID iD, Other ID(s) and CityUHK Email (see Template)
    • If a publication list is provided for checking, please format it in an Excel file with the following columns:
      Publication Type, Title, Author(s), Source Title, Publication Year and DOI (see Template)
    • If a specific template is required for the report, please provide a sample of the template, preferably in an editable Word or Excel file.
    • If multiple documents need to be submitted under any of the categories above, please prepare a zip file for each category. 
  • Please fill out the form as thoughtfully and comprehensively as possible. Unclear or missing information will delay the processing of your report.
  • The Library has the discretion to reject requests for this service because of manpower constraints or an unreasonable timeframe.
  • The Library reserves the right to review and revise the Service Terms and Conditions and may, based on demand and usage, introduce charges for the service in the future.
  • Personal data collected will be used for authentication and facilitating the processing of your request. For details, please refer to the Library's Privacy Policy.
