Stanford University has recently released an update of the list representing the top 2 % of the most-cited scientists in various disciplines. The report was prepared by a team of experts led by Prof. John Ioannidis, an esteemed professor at Stanford University.
Similarly, the Highly Cited Researchers list by Clarivate is another very famous list for scholar ranking. Here are some basic tips for understanding the main points of each.

Methodology |
The ranking is achieved via a composite indicator (c-score) that is calculated based on 6 citation indicators as follows using Scopus data. |
• The first analysis stage begins with a citation triage of records to identify a list of candidates. Identify authors with a significant number of Highly Cited Papers in an ESI field at the threshold for inclusion and above.
