If you cannot find the full text of a thesis or dissertation, you may try the following means.
- Try to look in Google Scholar or Google. Place the thesis or dissertation title in quotes, followed by the author's last name. Many theses and dissertations are available for open access.
- Check the library of the institution where the research was conducted, or explore WorldCat, which is a global catalog of library collections. Many universities are now posting theses and dissertations in repositories for immediate download.
- Search CityU LibraryFind, including HKALL. If a print thesis or dissertation is available for loan at other UGC libraries, you can place an "HKALL Request." The item will be sent to the CityU Library for you to collect.
- Search 中國博士學位論文全文數據庫, 中國優秀碩士學位論文全文數據庫, or 臺灣博碩士論文知識加值系統 if the thesis or dissertation is in Chinese.
- Order the thesis or dissertation online in ProQuest or EThOS at your own cost.
- Recommend the Library to purchase the thesis or dissertation or borrow it via Interlibrary Loan Services.
