CityU Scholars: Getting Ready for RGC Reporting and Performance Review for 2023-2024 (2-course Self-paced Online Training)

Research output and activity records collected in CityU Scholars will be used for the RGC Reporting, Annual Performance Report (APR) for faculty and Annual Progress Report for research students. This 2-course self-paced online training, consisting of 8 bite-sized modules as follows, aims at showing our researchers how to manage and update their research information in CityU Scholars. 

Faculty members, research students and DAs (Departmental Administrators) please log in with your CityU credentials to go through the training at your own pace anytime.

Course 1: Research Output Records Management

1.1 An Overview of CityU Scholars: Understand the key features and contents of the CityU Scholars platform.

1.2 Your Role in Research Output Records Harvesting: Understand your involvement in the process of the Library's research output records harvesting.

1.3 Manual Input of Research Output Records: Learn how to manually add records that are not captured by the Library's record harvesting from databases.

1.4 Trusted Users and Departmental Administrators: Explore the roles and responsibilities of these users in managing your researcher profile.

Course 2: CityU Scholars for Reporting and Appraisal

2.1 Annual Reporting Exercises and Workflow: Get to know how CityU Scholars supports reporting research information, and what's required for the annual exercises.

2.2 CityU Scholars Records for RGC Reporting and Appraisal: Understand how CityU Scholars data supports RGC reporting and your performance appraisal.

2.3 Thesis Submission and Research Degree Planner: Familiarize yourself with the thesis submission and the record synchronization to the Research Degree Planner for research students.

2.4 Reporting Open Access Information for Publications: Learn OA basics, identify OA works, and prepare OA publication details for annual reporting.
