Information Literacy @ CityU

This guide explores the concept of information literacy and describes and documents the Library's instruction programme.

Assessment

Librarians depend on the feedback of our face-to-face workshops participants in order to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of our instruction programme, and to learn how to improve our instructions to best meet participants' learning and research needs.

All face-to-face library workshops include a post-session questionnaire that is used to help

  • assess the participates' perception of the design and usefulness of the workshops, their learning experience, and the performance of the instructor
  • measure the participants' grasp of the intended learning outcomes for each session
  • check what the participants have learned

See an example of a questionnaire for one of the Library Workshops, Discovering Library Resources for Effective Learning: Search Strategies, Tools, Tips and More.
