Find full text, import PDFs, and more

EndNote's Find Full Text feature searches the web to determine if the PDF full text of a reference stored in your library can be accessed for free. If it is indeed available, EndNote will automatically link and attach it to the corresponding reference.

Enable Find Full Text in EndNote

As long as there is an Internet connection, EndNote allows users to locate full text articles for the references in their library. This is made possible by enabling: 1) Web of Science Full Text Links, 2) DOI, 3) PubMed Linkout, and 4) OpenURL.

To enable the OpenURL feature in EndNote:

1. Open EndNote.

2. Select Edit > Preferences.

3. Select Find Full Text from the list of preferences.

4. Tick the OpenURL box and enter the following:

https://julac-cuh.alma.exlibrisgroup.com/view/uresolver/852JULAC_CUH/openurl?

5. In the Authenticate with box, enter http://ezproxy.cityu.edu.hk/login?url=

6. Click Apply and then OK.
