Company Information

Directories generally contain brief company information such as address, industry/line of business and a contact person. Some directories cover both public and private companies.

Tip. Use a directory to find out what companies operate within a particular industry or to find what companies provide particular services or products.

Electronic directories

• Business Source Complete (Library database) Has names of key staff, parent/subsidiary details, & more for over 18,000 public & private companies. Select "Company information" from top of screen. Search by company name, country, business description or industry codes.
• HKTDC Sourcing  From the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. Source products from reliable China and Hong Kong wholesale suppliers & Chinese manufacturers.
• Companies' Registry From the Hong Kong government. All companies registered in Hong Kong
• Hong Kong business directory [CD-ROM] 2009.

Print directories  (Print directories may not contain the most current information.)

• Hong Kong foreign companies
• The Hong Kong top 5000 enterprises
• D&B small and medium enterprises in Hong Kong
• D&B top 2000 foreign enterprises in Hong Kong
• The Hong Kong listed companies

Use Advanced Search in CityU LibraryFind, and search by Subject. Below are examples of subject headings that you can use to search:
